Metal Stud Steel Framing
Maranatha Construction Inc has been licensed, and doing business within the states of Washington and Oregon, since 1977.

Our Framing Department focuses only on Steel/Metal Studs. Whichever term you use, they can save you money, time and hassle. Some great benefits for most clients are that there is no saw dust or beam/stud warping/shrinking, little to no settling, and steel doesn't require cutting any trees to manufacture! A great benefit for installers is the ease of cutting, installing, and making straight walls or round radius walls. This translates into lower labor cost and a better finished product. Why a better finished product? Because the framers and drywall hangers can work cohesively and any updates or changes are easily handled through one contractor.

Examples of Framing:

  • Standard Walls and Ceilings
  • Suspended Drywall or Drop Ceilings
  • Suspended Acoustical Ceiling for Fire and Sound Systems
  • Structural Studs
  • J-Track/CT Studs for Shaft Wall and Elevator Assemblies
  • Decorative Walls and Soffits
  • Radius Walls and Soffits

Sound Proofing Systems
Maranatha Construction Inc has been licensed, and doing business within the states of Washington and Oregon, since 1977.

Hearing your next door neighbor or having them hear you can be annoying, embarrassing, disrespectful, and cause unneeded conflict. This is true for commercial retail locations, light industrial locations, offices, condos, apartments, multi-family dwellings, and even in single family residences. There are lot's of great ways (besides stuffing an over abundance of insulation in the walls) to keep sound from traveling from room to room, unit to unit, floor to floor or even just inside to outside the building. We have realized this and decided it was important enough to offer to our clients.

Examples of Sound Proofing:

  • Acoustical Drop Ceilings
  • Hat Channel
  • Sound Clips
  • RC Channel
  • Acoustical Sealant
  • Double/Triple Board Installation
  • Sound Board Installation

Hanging and Taping
Maranatha Construction Inc has been licensed, and doing business within the states of Washington and Oregon, since 1977.

One of our most obvious drywall services is the installation of drywall itself. Hanging drywall sounds pretty simple, but just like steel studs, it can become complex. The hanging process must be done just as carefully as all the other steps involved, including taping the seams.

Examples of Drywall Services:

  • Standard 1/2" and 5/8" Drywall Installation
  • 1" Core Board for Shaft Wall Assemblies
  • Fire Rated Drywall Systems
  • Exterior Gypsum Sheathing
  • Tile Backer Board
  • Bullnose, Corner bead, and Drywall Trim Corners
  • Patching and Repair Services

Depending on the finish, taping can go from quick and easy, to painstakingly slow and intricate. For example, if a heavy or medium texture is preferred this step helps to cover the seams before texture. Various texture types are more common due to the labor savings. Taping, however, causes a slight rise in drywall seams which can be noticed on a smooth wall or light texture finishes, but not detected with medium or heavy texture. Therefore, much more time and care must be taken to taper away from this rise, before light texture or smooth finish can be applied. This can be compared to the work invloved in blending the paint on a part of a car and making it look acceptable instead of painting the whole car which is often less expensive. This is over simplified, and there are many other factors involved. If you have questions, please contact one our specialists here or at (360) 892-0540.
Textures
Maranatha Construction Inc has been licensed, and doing business within the states of Washington and Oregon, since 1977.

Texture is the finishing touch right before prime and paint. Textures provide a way to finish the wall. This allows the drywall and seams to be covered in a way that is pleasing to the eye. Texture became very popular after drywall took the place of seamless, expensive plaster applications. Texture became an inexpensive way to finish walls and hide seams, in addition to, being just a decorative accent. Samples can be viewed below. The drywall under the texture has been painted tan to give clairity of depth.

Examples of Textures:

  • Orange Peel: Light
    , Medium
    , or Heavy
    .
  • Knock Down: Light
    , Medium
    , or Heavy
    .
  • Machine Brocade
  • Hand Brocade Patterns
  • Hand Trowel Texture Patterns
  • Other Hand Texture Patterns
  • Acoustical Textures

Textured Interior

Decorative and elaborate textures can be very pleasing to the eye but in some cases can be distracting from other focal points of your interior design. Using common medium and heavy textures can save money and aren't too distracting, but may be thought too boring or plain. Consider this when choosing a texture and please feel free to contact any of our experts via phone or email.

Not just Hang to Texture like other drywall contractors, but "From Frame to Finish" as we like to say. Steels Studs, Drywall and Paint, all from one quality, low cost, fast and friendly contractor.
